Magnesium Yttrium (Mg-Y) Master Alloy

Detailed introduction
Magnesium Yttrium (Mg-Y) Master Alloy |
Magnesium is an important structural metal. It is 1.5 times lighter than aluminum and 4 times lighter than steel. |
Current world output of Mg is ~1.2 million tons. |
Magnesium
Rare Earth Alloy "Mg-Y" contains high percentages of yttrium
and neodymium.
It is flame resistent, does not burn, also 1.5 times lighter than aluminum
and 4 times lighter than steel.
|
Mg-Y is high strength, easy machining material for high performance components in increased temperature applications. |
It replaces high-strength aluminium alloys in applications such as light weight parts for vehicles, aerospace, engines. |
